Jake Joseph Paul was born on January 17, 1997, in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Westlake, Ohio. He gained initial fame on Vine before transitioning to YouTube, where he amassed millions of subscribers. Paul also starred in the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark from 2016 to 2018.

In 2018, Jake began his boxing career with a white-collar match against Deji Olatunji, which he won via technical knockout. His professional debut came in January 2020 against AnEsonGib. Since then, he has faced and defeated several opponents, including Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (twice), and Anderson Silva.
